From small premises above the Commonwealth Bank Building on Franklin St Traralgon, Dr Victor Magee moved to 12 Kay St in 1982 and constructed a purpose built dental surgery to serve the community of Gippsland. He was later joined by his son, Dr Erik Magee.
In 2003 the dental practice changed ownership and was renamed Traralgon Dental Care.
With no change to the dental philosophy, this progressive family orientated practice grew and the clinic became too small.
To improve comfort for patients, Traralgon Dental Care embarked on an expansion program, acquiring the adjoining building (14 Kay St) in late 2014 and completed the extension and renovations of the two buildings by the end of 2016.
We have been part of the Gippsland community since 1978, and used local businesses and tradies in the design and construction of the new premises.
Traralgon Dental Care now boasts a spacious waiting area, five modern treatment rooms and two sterilization rooms.
The expansion has also allowed us to accommodate visiting dental specialists.
We like to thank our patients for their understanding during the past two years while the renovations were in progress and also would like to make a special mention and thank Drs Victor and Erik Magee for establishing a great foundation.
It is wonderful to see their original patients and their next generation continue to attend the practice.
We are a team of five highly experienced dentists, who regularly attend continuing education courses and are registered ADA members.
We also have a wonderful dental hygienist/therapist and a team of dedicated dental nurses.
This places us in the exceptional position to provide the best care for our regulars as well as warmly welcoming new patients.
Here at Traralgon Dental Care, we are all Gippsland locals and are involved within the community.
